  Now that you've got your console disassembled it's really simple to replace the 72-Pin connector, just remove the old connector by sliding it off the mainboard (it can be pretty tough sometimes).  
  Once it's off get your brand spanking new connector, remove it from the plastic and making sure you line up the connections properly - push the new connector onto the mainboard. That's it! you just need to put your console back together and test.
