hey guys if you're sick of ebay scammers then have a read of this story Smile

its about a guy who gets 'one of those emails' from a scammer wanting to buy his laptop, the guy then goes along with it but then ends up scamming the scammer (and the scammer had to pay about $500!)

check it out here...

Yeah!! Bloody brilliant, thank goodness for KARMA Laughing

I dont use electronic money transfer as the system with its various rorts, apart from hacking, leaves a lot to be desired, maybe one day........

Then again feeling secure with your activities on the net is a bit like thinking that nobody ever listens in to your telephone calls ho hum Wink

ozzipete i agree!! it`s like a seller getting a mate to bid on his item in order to push the price up,it happens because it happened to me recently....can`t prove it of course but it seems funny when the person wins the item they pull out at the last minute so i get a second chance to purchase it at the higher price.

What annoyed me though was the dude that didn`t buy the item in the end got a positive feedback from the seller. Evil or Very Mad

Hi Misha Yeh I have seen that too or you enter your highest bid of say $50.00 on a item sitting at $10.00 someone comes along enters a rediculous bid of $4,500 retracts it .. for wrong amont entered doesnt bid again which then shows the seller your highest bid so as you said his mates can "run you up" on the item
There is so much potentially shifty stuff goes on there like the seller who ships from Australia then you get your item sent from hon kong ..in fact they dont even own the item they are selling and wait till after its sold before buying it .. I think its called Drop Shipping its apparently legal but in my opinion shifty as hell

To be honest mate i`d only deal with ppl i trust if i had the option but worse luck for me all you guys are in Australia,as everyone reminds me postage to the UK will cost a fortune so therefore i have no choice but to deal with ebay sellers that i don`t know.

I`ve got a few that i use alot but i don`t know why but i steer clear of items that are being sold from Hong Kong, anyway that`s exactly what happened to me...i had to buy the item at my maximum bid price,i purchased it at that price even though i didn`t want to just to protect my 100% positive feedback as knowing my luck if i hadn`t i`d of been the one to get the negative feedback.

Still think the original buyer should of got a - instead of + feedback from the seller
