ive been thinking of some games we can play for the competitions on the day. Some good head to head games would be super mario kart and street fighter II.

it would be great to also go even more nostalgic and play high score comps for games like space invaders and asteroids.

and then i was thinking maybe games like epic pinball or pinball dreams???

any other suggestions???

4 player Moonstone is turn based (except when challenging another knight). You have to play Moonstone it is one of the most goriest games ever!

Speedball 2 on the amiga would be fun also

How about a bout or two of North & South?

Hi there all!

Just came accross the Retrobrad Games Convention on ebay. I went to one of these style of expo's in Edinburgh Scotland in 1997 and it was amazing!

Just thought I might post a classic Sega suggestion. I'm a big Sega Saturn fan and most people never experienced the link cable in action as there was only a handfull of titles that supported it.

So a head to head Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition would be a great expo. I have all the hardware including Steering Wheels, link-cable and S-Video leads for monitors of choice.

TIDBID : Daytona USA CCE has the ability to play at night, dusk, or morning (by holding X, Y or Z on the controller as the 'START YOUR ENGINES' screen is displayed).

Capital Punishment - Amiga -

Run the Gauntlet - C64 -

Micro Machines - Amiga -

Elfmania - Amiga -

Super Twintris - Amiga -

...... etc ......

Here is how maybe it should work. I am no a Nintendo nor Megadrive player from back then or even now, so the games that are on the consoles i will be no good at, as will be the same for those for whom never played any games on the C64 or Amiga.

So maybe it should be an even mix of both console and computer games, and the games that will be chosen for the competition are the games we can spend the whole ( well not the "whole" just part .. lol ) day or weekend ( depending ) practicing on, so for example, the Amiga guys spend time on a Nintendo and the Nintendo guys spend time on an Amiga to polish up their skills while in the meantime they are already quite adept on their own machines of choice to begin with.

How does that sound ?.. If its not a good idea, then its ok to tell me Smile

i think thats a great idea.

on the day we can have a vote on what games to play from both consoles and systems. (and have an even mix of things.) So as you said, consoles players can be playing systems and vice versa. i think that will work out nicely!

I won't be contributing to H/S ware at the event, but...

NES - always loved Lifeforce (salamander) for 2 player co-op action
SNES - MArioKart could be fun for Comps
- Super Probotector more 2 player co-op
MeagDrive - Devil Crash Pinball? is different (not sure about that name?)

Amiga - Pinball games always make good comps,
for head to head maybe some skidmarks... 4 player?
bit blank atm!!

should be fun if everyone get involved in the comps!!
