I've got a gp2x which is brilliant, emulate stuff anywhere from atari 2600 to gameboy advanced, or colecovision to mega cd.
It's a brilliant device and I wouldn't do without it. |

You have to buy a seperate cable (about ?10 I believe) and then you can plug it into the tv.
I've not got one of these myself, but I believe most emus work very well with it. |

It's still generally slow unfortunately, however a lot of ocs games are very playable at fullspeed or near fullspeed as long as it's oc'd to 250mhz (most gp2x's can reach 240mhz at least). |

Yeah i had to do the same thing with the zodiac, but even then the amiga games didnt work to well, but i could play snes games quite comfortably and mega drive / sms / gamegear / NES worked well without overclocking. |

Got some perfect emus on there.
Nes and PC engine work perfectly.
As does Capcom CPS1 & CPS2 arcade emus.
Also got and excellent Neo Geo Emu.
God almost forgot my fav would be my Scummvm Emu... perfect Monkey Island games, Sam and Max, Beneath a steel sky and so on.
of course PS1 emulation too!!!!! _________________ When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on!

how does the PSP go with 'point and click' adventure games? is it harder than using a mouse? |

It is perfect cos you have control over the mouse by way of the analogue stick and a button press slows the cursor down if need be!!!
Honestly it's amazing playing the likes of Curse of monkey island and the rest _________________ When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on!

sounds pretty cool!
i used to have a tapwave zodiac which was great for point and click adventure games because it had a touchscreen as well, unfortunately it had an analogue controller which made it really awkward to play games from systems that just normally use a digital controller. (which is pretty much all of them! NES, SNES, megadrive, Master system, atari 2600 etc...) |

Gp2x, have to agree with the old wolf Belgarath on this one, great machine for emulation. Also have a PSP which suffers the dreaded LCD ghosting/blurring so I don't use it as much for 2D game emulation.
Other handhelds I use for emulation are: Gp32 <3, Gizmondo, N-Gage, Zodiac2, NDS and an old Toshiba PPC. |

you've got a lot o handhelds! the zodiac is a good one although i wish it had a digital directional pad rather than analogue. |
