I loved the speccy Smile still have mine and a big ruck of games. I liked the Dizzy games the best i think.

You should get some Microdrives as they really cut down on the load times.

what was Auf Wiedersehen Monty about?

i've never heard of that game...

I was a Monty the Mole game basically it's a flick screen platformer a bit like Jet Set Willy. Play a mole travelling around Europe trying to get enough money to buy your own greek island, it very funny and has enjoyable puzzles. The size of the game is impressive too, and it all fit on one of those little casettes!

What a great game Gminty...

Do you remeber when you could drink the bottled drinks on the game and it would make Monty a little tipsy and reverse the joystick directional controls

ha ha great fun Laughing

I love my Speccy (I use the "+" model - better keyboard) but lately I've been having BIG problems with loading my cassettes. I've been using a new Dick Smith tape recorder (the type you use to record interviews, etc. - it looks like a Walkman) but it just WILL NOT load my games anymore! I'm thinking that I need to get a proper 80's era "portable" cassette recorder (you know, the type that lies flat) as they have proper volume and tone controls. Anyone out there have one to sell (or swap), maybe at the con? All you people out there that use Commodore Datasettes to load your 64 games, you have NO idea how good you have it! Having to fiddle with volume and tone controls can be a nightmare!
