What about that transition stage from Pinball/Amusement parlours to present day arcades,I remember a time when friday night I would go into ole Melbourne town and $10 would cover my nights entertainment, and yes there were a few electronic games around at that time.......sigh

I can relate to that Tomz.. I dont really think its safe for kids to do like we did anymore Amusement places seem nowdays to be a little bit "multipurpose" |

Yeah i used to visit an arcade called Orbit in Melbourne's CBD back in about 1987. Used to have 2 levels, the top level being games like Battlezone, Defender, Asteroids...etc, while the bottom level was games like R-Type, Karnov, Double Dragon, Chase HQ .. etc.. There were quite a few games where i lived too in the Northern Suburbs, so straight after school i would be using my lunch money to play them
Another favourite of mine too was Hyper Olympics, it was at the local pool for a while, and some other Black & White overhead racing car game.. although i have never been able to remember the name it !?. |
