I did order the F-200. Hopefully the D-pad works well. I had a GP32 before and I hated the pad on it. It felt like it was going to snap.

Nice one, you will be one of the first with the f200. Did you get it from play-asia?

Where do I start. The Gp2X arrived at 1:30pm so I was very excited, I ripped the crap out of the box quickly so I could try it out. The d-pad was quite weird to use at first but got used to it pretty easy. I'm at work at the moment so I havn't had time to realy play with it. I tried playnig CPS2 roms on it, I played X-men Vs Street Fighter and to my surprised it played perfect and I was able to do Ryu's upper cut with ease with the d-pad. I tried out Quake, Gameboy Colour and DrMD(Megadrive Emu) all worked flawlessly besides Dr MD. It crashed as so as I tried loading a rom. I've read it's due to the new firmware but that should be fixed pretty soon. Anyways gotta go and do some work.
ciao

Try out Picodrive, at last check a much better megadrive emulator.

I would be interested to know how high you overclock the unit and maintain stability. Mine is a first edition f-100 and can go up to 279mHz. The later mkII gp2xs dont overclock that high on average.

Check out youtube tomz, there should be plenty of vids of the f-100 plus a couple of the f-200 in action.

I've got several GP2X machines. I bought the very first one (MkI) but was initially disappointed with both the software and the actual hardware. Since then the software has mature greatly and now so has the hardware. I would consider it to be my most cherished gaming handheld device. I qualify this with gaming as my Zodiac is equal favourites. It's more versatile what with it's touch screen. Of course this could change to some degree now that the GP2X has a touch screen - however it won't replace the Zodiac (or any other PDA) as it simply won't be able to match the "instant switch on" that PDA's possess.

The reason I bought the F-200 is that I am hoping for two developments:
1). User Interface will improve making use of the touch screen.
2). And the second reason, a sub-set of the first, would be virtual keyboard and mouse support for computer emulators such as C-64, Atari 800, Spectrum, MSX, Atari ST and Commodore Amige, etc. That would be awesome!
