Just recently in January I swang by here and picked up a nice boxed complete copy of Link to the past. But last weekend I goto have a gander for some SNES title's and the store is GONE! This is the place where I got my first SNES, Gameboy and N64, let alone all the titles I once had! This store used to be located in Parkmore shopping centre Keysborough from the early 90's until 2001 when it moved to DFO in Moorabin. Actually, that store is how I found out about this website when I noticed pamhplets sitting on the counter about last year's convention.

I've tryed contacting from phone numbers on previous receipts but nothing... Is there anybody that know's what happened or if the owner Mark ( I think ) has moved elsewhere? There was an even better retro store of the same title that was in Knox City shopping centre but that too closed down Sad

I know exectly how you feel!

There was this excellent video game store in Perth called Hitech World, they would have loads of systems set up so you could play them - nes, snes, mega drive, master system etc.

I cant remember exactly when it closed down (it was years ago now) but they still have all the signs up / posters in the window etc..

Its very sad.

All kids do these days is goto big W grab there game and rush home to play it. Theres no lining up behind consoles to verse someone in street fighter II or super mario kart... not like it used to be.

Yeah, I was shattered. I'll never forget playing San Fransisco Rush against other kids I'd never met before and enjoying it. I really with those two stores never closed down it's such a f*cking shame. But the day I joined up on this site I found a convention pamphlet on the counter so I'm guessing an employee of the store know's of this site?

I have actually started buying and repairing arcade machines just for something different.

I have three at the moment but It would be cool to have my own mini arcade parlour at home.
