I love the Doors, pj Harvey is really cool she has a new album out soon. 'The young and the restless' are a new Aussie band that I would like to see live. |

Yeah SKOOTER really kick, but most of their music isnt too far removed from C64 and Amiga techno tunes, you know the ones that are almost 20 years old,and as for Justin Timberlake, well i guess he must of discovered the C64 in the last few years...at least some of the tunes off there.
I like all musics, seriously even rap and hip hop,I say even as its my least fave, but there are some nice tunes in that genre.I was brought up in a house where my dad always played music,so I pretty well like any decent tune.

Tomz i don`t agree, you listen to a few Scooter tracks and you`ll find alot of them are rehashed dance tracks of yesteryear, i know of at least 3 tracks that are old Billy Idol songs but i don`t care it`s always good to hear a classic track with a new slant to it. |

Misha you are correct in what you say, but I like the old rehashed tunes, especially if done well. And its just odd that even today you hear a techno type tune, discovering that you have had the tune, an original C64 techno tune, that was done a decade prior to the song you are listening to
being released
eg Timberland and there are a few others
I was flower child in the late 60s, I was a disco freak in the 80s, I have always like blues /jazz /soul /rock /country /classical if light and today hip hop, some rap if melodic not just monotone talking, and most commercial musics on the radio. My fave artists are, the beatles, stones, led zeppelin, joe walsh, eric clapton, john mayal, cream, status quo. Im also extremely fond of Chip musics C64 and Amiga, and I have a fondness for the guitar and the electric violin.(I play the guitar)
I grew up in a house where my dad was always playing some swing or nat king cole tune on his tape (grundig) player and I guess we are all products of our upbringing to a certain extent, so Im not much different
from my parents (except younger YEAH!)
