thanks very much mate! in the past couple of days i have sold two more tickets which is great, im just hoping that i get that magic 20 sold, then that will have covered the cost of the venue.

thanks again for posting the flyers, and to everyone else who has been getting the word out.

Hey, Brad,
It's now Friday night before the con'. I'm looking at a map of Ballarat and there are two different Uni of Ballarat campuses! I had to trawl back through the forum to find the references that point to it being the Mt Helen campus so now I've destressed (not distressed)!
See you there tomorrow at the Studio Theatre room around 11am.

Thanks very much for a great day, Brad! Sorry I could only be there a few hours (you know how girlfriends get!) but I had fun whilst there. I hope I didn't miss too much after 4pm. Tell me how the prizes went! Did anyone get my portable Amstrad (the booby prize!)?
Will there another one next year? This could be the start of something really cool and I'm sure that it'll get bigger every year as word spreads.
I wish now that I'd driven back but once I got into our hotel room the bed was so inviting that I fell asleep and didn't wake up until seven o'clock.
On the way home today, we stopped in at the Eureka Stockade tourist trap and it was actually really interesting. If you have the con' in Ballarat again next year, I'll check out Sovereign Hill. All in all, it was a great little two-day break.
Thanks to Darren (Ike), I now have four different monitors on my desk! One for the PC (which I stare at now), one for non-AV consoles and computers, a Commodore 1802 for AV consoles and computers and now an Amstrad GT64 Monitor for my CPC464. I must send in some photos of my collection for everyone to see as I'm actually pretty damned chuffed with it to tell you the truth! Every man needs his den and in my case, it's my "study" full of retro gaming stuff. My own, private domain.
