Hi, flaming_leg (michael) here.
i found this site from the ebay listing brad put up for those tickets believe it or not... Im 19 atm, studying at melbourne uni, and basically have been playing games my entire life. I'm mostly a nintendo gamer (specifically SNES and 64 nintendo) but in recent years have branched off into old-school sega as well. At the moment I'm probably more of a collector than a player, as i hardly have any time to keep up with all the current-gen stuff as well as playing all the old games as much as i would like to. I'm currently working on my saturn collection, and at this very -very- moment, playing through bioshock, wild guns, sonic 3 and killer 7.
In the interests of brevity i won't list all of my favourite games here, but i will say that super metroid, goldeneye, mariokart and smash brothers (64) personal favourites of mine xD
I'm very interested in meeting other gamers from aus, because i really don't know any at the moment... I've been 'the nintendo kid' all my life but unfortunately have met precious few others (in australia) who share my love for 16-bit games D;
i think i just might post my collection here oneday...

yeah i'm very keen on going to the convention... The only thing is whether or not i can organise transport there and back... i also know of at least one other person who would be stoked to come to something like this. So i'll let them know and hopefully the both of us will see you there on the day.
If you guys have mariokart ds we should exchange friend codes so i can stop playing with random people who disconnect after 2 minutes.
Oh and yes i'm totally down for some online SNES mariokart L;D |

To play ds games online (against people you know) you need to first register them as 'friends' by contacting them in RL and grabbing their 'friend code' from them. Otherwise you have to play against random people without being able to communicate with them at all.
It basically ensures that kids only communicate with people they already know...
It's an annoying-as-shit system that's clumsy and paranoid, but it lets me play mariokart online! and for that i am grateful |
