Has to be said that I?ve always had a soft spot for the Amstrad, it was the first console/computer I owned. I played on this baby for ten years and I saw hundreds great games released on it:

Colony ? An interesting resource management game set on an alien Planet
Chase HQ/Rainbow Islands/Ikari Warriors/Gryzor ? All amazing arcade conversion
Swichblade ? Wonderful detailed graphics and huge challenge

All great I?m sure you?ll agree, the game that I saw as the pinnacle of Amstrad programming was Turrican. For a start the game was huge, it retained the secret areas of it?s Amiga cousin, the graphics were bright and bold with the mechanical backgrounds in the game looking particularly amazing, it was also a challenge without being to difficult. I really couldn?t believe this game was running on an Amstrad when I loaded it up, stunning.

What?s your favourite Amstrad game?

I only really played the game on the Speccy. Was the Amstrad version vastly different?

I played 720 Skate or die to death on the C64, and was facinated by the gameplay, the fact that it was mostly played diagonally as well as the tricks you had to acheive in order to get to the shop, buy improved gear, and then the next level ''golden days endless nights'' Smile

Smile tomz Smile

Hi,

The screenshot is surely the Arcade version!!!! or am I mistaken?

Also these were 2 separate games if my memory serves.

720 By Midway

And Skate or Die By Electronic Arts.

Correct me if I am wrong

See ya
