Hi all.

I'm a Nintendo collector but often come across Sega Mega Drive and Master System games, but have no clue of their value! Could anyone please provide me with a short list of the rarer or more valuable games..

I.e. Is Golden Axe II for SMD rare/worth some moneys?

Hi Sam, Golden Axe 2 isn't rare at all. But Golden Axe 3 is one you should look out for as it was never released out of Japan. Rare Megadrive games to look out for Complete are

Panorama Cotton
Yu Yu Hakusho: Makyo Toitsusen
Alien Soldier (PAL Version)
Daze Before Christmas
Double Dragon
Phantasy Star 4
Shinning Force 2
Streets of Rage 3

just to name a few. There are heaps more

Cheers
Ike

Cool thanks. I see so many of them, I'm just not so great with the names.. I was contemplating carrying a list with me! Especially when games might be $5-10, that's a fair bit of money when you don't know if a game is actually worth anything..

Street Fighter II is quite rare on the SMS, it only came out in Brazil. I wouldnt pay more than about ?20 - ?25 for a complete one though.

You have got to make your own mind up about what is desirable and not just rely on price guides. The more general info that you can learn about a gameing system might be just as valuable as a price guide. I think some Pong systems can go for very little money on ebay, cd32 and CD-I games can go for nothing. Make your own mind up and don't run with the pack.
