Dont know if you would class this as a bargin but I certainly was happy On Sunday stopped by a garage sale just setting up this fellow was obviously some alarm monitoring type system installer on a grand scale anyway hes moving to Adelaide so all must go
I got boxes and boxes of electronic components circuit boards etching solutions project boxes crimps standoffs relays step down convertors ic's you name it it was there then he says you after any power supplys I say yes of course next thing out come 5 x 10v @1A p/s (exactly the same as NES Snes even look the same) all brand new along with a whole lot of other p/supps and remote control units DIP switches coax rolls wire rolls now this is coooolll I am thinking anyways
I paid 20 bucks the lot and had to get my daughter to go back with her station wagon to fit it all in as well as the boot backseat and front seat of my car
Yes I do sometimes make silly little projects just to pass the time with no real use LOL |

Not so much a garage sale, but:
We used to have a place at the old rubbish dump called "Revolve".
It' was a hard-rubbish recycling centre where people could drop old household goods rather than have them clogging up landfills.
Then, they would be put on display and people could buy stuff (usually broken, complete crap, or both).
Anyway, I picked up a few bargains:
- Amiga 500 (1 meg RAM) for $5
- Atari 1050 disk drive for $5
- same visit as above, my biggest bargain, 130XE for $5 |
