Well I have been working on recreating Super Mario Bros on a very pixelated 8x8 led screen.

It is still a work in progress. I still have to finish all 30 - something levels, put in items to pick up and bad guys to kill. But if you check out this youtube video, I think you will get what I am trying to achieve.

I saw a guy make donkey kong with the same led screen. Which kind of inspired me to make this one.

Anywho heres a screenshot:

and heres the youtube video link:

Ive checked out all your micro stuff on yuotube and I must say Im iimpressed perhaps you could do a coloum/post on how to code on this, just simple basics for your micro, who knows somebody might learn something, and better still what if someone reading actually wanted to participate, maybe handle the gfx part or some other part of the code.

Althought I do not see this as being a big threat to the PSP or similar. this iis a nice new learning tool, at its bare minimom, at its max? who knows where this could go? Wink

Thats the way I feel about games these days.

It seems that you need to dedicate most of your time to playing games to actually get anywhere with the game.

You need to talk to grapes about the Wii - he started up a web site dedicated to it.

I agree the new Psp is crap. But the UMD versions are perfect for emulation. I love playing the C64 and neoGeo emu's on the train and they run 100%. I also own a Wii and I have to say it has to be one of the most over rated consoles. Every game I have played is only fun for 15mins. I prefer my XB360 anyday, retro gaming and Street Fighter 4 are perfect on that system.Just my opinion. Smile

I think the PSP control pad is quite good.

I havent really ever played any games on one though.

I used to have a tapwave zodiac for emulation, but the d-pad was analog and terrible for retro games.
