For all those who live in Australia, im looking at holding an annual retro gaming convention - most probably in Canberra.

I'd just like to get some feedback to see if anyone would actually attend (otherwise it's pointless just me turning up)

Hi All,

I reckon Brads idea of a convention is awsome just to think as well as a weekend away you could show off your wares, talk to other like minded people, play games, and most of all have a bloody good time
Please don't be shy tell us what you think Laughing

Hey now come on that`s not fair, what about the rest of us LOL,i live in the back of beyond so retro coventions wouldn`t happen here, don`t have computer fairs either and well boot fairs, don`t think they know what one is here. Think i`m going to have to nip across the border and find myself one.

Anyone out there want to arrange a retro convention in England then?? anyone????.

No idea mate,my job is the biggest reason for me not going to any conventions though, always on a saturday Sad who has to work all weekend! every weekend!! that`s right me. Why oh why god did i have to be a chef? Laughing

The biggest killer though is very little social life, work 6 days a week doing 2-3 shifts a day,i know the people @ work better than my own family Laughing oh well i`ll keep my eyes out for one here in Wales.

I think we've found the venue for the retro gaming convention!

Thanks to ozzipete for his investivigative work, this venue looks really good!

it's in Ballarat Victoria. and holds upto 170 people. they have all the provisions (tables and chairs for all the gaming systems etc..) and also a projector screen for the big gaming comps Very Happy

sorry this is the only pic i have at this stage...
