ive just finished making and testing an xe1541 transfer cable.
In short, this cable plugs into a pc parallel port and then into a C64 disk drive. you can then copy files to and from a standard c64 5 1/4 disk!
so if you've got software that you want off one of your c64 disks, then you need this cable!
if you want one (but cant make one for yourself) just PM me and we can sort something out.
PS the software for it is free for download (its called star commander)

And it works just fine, my biggest problem was the various software and the means of use of it, and thanx heaps Brad for making and posting the cable to me, I will be eternally grateful, ta mate
