You should have your Master System console all pulled apart before starting this tutorial. If not then click here to see how to do it.
First up you need to drill a hole for your switch, I prefer to put it at the back of the console but you can put it pretty much wherever you like. Also - I have used a toggle switch but you could also use a slide switch although they are a little harder to install.
Now put your housing to one side and locate this SEGA chip on the mainboard. we need to cut and lift one of the legs.
Locate leg 57 (just count backwards from leg 67 which is written on the board) Cut this leg and place some tape underneath it to isolate it from the other legs. (see photo)
Locate the voltage regulator (the component screwed down to the mainboard - see pic)
Now grab a length of wire and solder it to leg 57 as shown in the photo.
Okay now grab two more lengths of wire and solder one to the 'C' leg (which is GND) and one wire to the 'O' leg (which is +5v)
Get your switch and put it into the previously drilled hole and then solder the three wires from the mainboard to the terminals as shown in this photo.

A drill (or someway of drilling holes)
Soldering Iron
Solder
Cutters
scalpel (or sharp knife)
Electrical Tape (or some sort of tape)
For the finishing touch you can make some 50 / 60hz labels as shown in this picture, then you are ready for testing!
Notice the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen in 50hz mode, theyre pretty much all gone in 60hz mode! and the game runs at full speed.
